Deodorisers and dehumidifiers
Natural zeolites are used in a wide range of consumer products to remove both moistures and odours.
Zeolites have a large capacity for moisture absorption and can be re-used many times by simply heating to remove absorbed moisture.
They also absorb undesirable odours and have many useful applications in the home. Examples include: Fridge deodorisers, shoe cupboards, wardrobes, car and boat deodorisers, elimination of pet odours.
In fact, natural zeolites can be used in almost any situation where moisture and/or odours are a problem. They are totally harmless to humans and animals, and can be re-used over and over again.
Pet Care
Aquariums
Zeolites are used in aquarium filters to remove dissolved ammonia produced by fish. Excessive levels of ammonia can be harmful to the well being of fish and natural zeolite is particularly effective in removing ammonium ions, due to its ion exchange capacity.
Aviaries
Natural zeolite can be used in bird cages and aviaries to absorb droppings and reduce odours. It can be sprinkled on the aviary floor and simply swept away after use. It is totally harmless even if ingested by the birds.
Cat Litter
The addition of natural zeolite to cat litter greatly increases its capacity to hold in undesirable odours. Zeolites also have a very high capacity for moisture absorption and it remains free flowing even when wet. It is also totally safe for both animals and humans.
The capacity of natural zeolite to absorb odours and liquids, and the fact that it is totally harmless to animals and humans make it ideal for use in any type of animal cage.
The benefits to the animal are a better, healthier living environment, and the benefits to the owners are reduced odour and easier care and maintenance.
